After President Duterte rejected calls to suspend classes in all schools in Metro Manila and nearby regions, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has batted for the suspension of classes only in at least 20 public and private schools, colleges and universities in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, and Southern Luzon from December 2 to 6 to give way to the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games which the country is hosting.
